Dancing on Ice is back!

8th January 2009

It’s time to get your skates on, as Dancing on Ice has returned. Phillip will be hosting the all-new season of the slippery skating spectacular show alongside Holly Willoughby, and a whole host of new celebrities are taking to the ice in a bid for graceful glory!

Grange Hill and The Bill star Todd Carty will be competing alongside fellow former Hollyoaks babes Gemma Bissix and Roxanne Pallet.

Sports stars Graeme Le Saux and Ellery Hanley will be doing their best not to drop the ball, or their fellow dancers for that matter. And TV presenters Jeremy Edwards, Zoe Salmon and Michael Underwood will all be doing their best to emulate Suzanne Shaw’s stunning victory in last year’s season finale.

X-Factor crooner Ray Quinn and Liberty X singer Jessica Taylor will also be getting their skates on, and as if that wasn’t enough, Melinda Messenger will be donning sparkly spandex!

Completing the line-up is Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan, who has shed close to five stone over the last couple of years. As usual Ice King and Queen Torvill and Dean will be there to help the celebrities keep their balance and skate like pros and with Phillip and Holly presenting the show rink side, it’s sure to be a thrilling few weeks.

Stay tuned to www.officialphillipschofield.com during the show’s run, as Phillip will be providing us with all the backstage gossip, exclusive behind the scenes video and much, much more.

Good luck to all the contestants...we would say ‘break a leg’, but in this context it’s probably best left unsaid...

  • fern will be giving you a row too !!

  • hi philip i,v noticed a few new faces in the profesional line up this year on dancing on ice could i just ask who has left? forgive me but i cant think who they are .

  • Hi

I can't find a blog on the Dancing on Ice website, only this link. What I would like to know and a good thing to feature on the show is what is Jayne and Chris doing to help Team GB ice skaters?

As they have been there, seen it and done it wouldn't it be good for them to put their time into helping our skaters become the best? I would also pose that question to Robin Cousins, Nicky Slater and Karen Barber?

I hope they are not wasting their skill on pampered celebs only!!

  • Dear Phillip

I think it is unfair that someone has to go out in the first week of show when everyone has put so much effect in to the show.I think it would be better for everyone to dance in the first week of the show. i have been a big fan of the show and have never missed a show.

    Yours sincerely

    Beverley Stevens
