Talisker Skye SAVE £13 at £25/70cl (was £38, offer ends 3 Jan 2016)
Having been snapped up by the rest of the world, 10 and 12-year-old single malts are becoming rare, so distilleries are finding new ways to express their house style by blending whiskies of different ages. This one is a fabulous expression of Skye – the salty tang of the waves, smoky heather and windswept coastline – and the ideal foil for smoked salmon.

Drink it with... Spiced smoked salmon blinis
Salmon and whisky are quintessentially Scottish – and they go together so well too.

Try it now: House-style whiskies

1. Dalwhinnie Winter's Gold SAVE £15 at £24.99/70cl (was £39.99, offer ends 3 Jan 2016)
Very different in style from the Talisker, this is honeyed, with a hint of orange, wrapped up with a smooth finish. If you were to need a hip flask at some point this winter, this would be a very nice way to fill it.

2. Penderyn Madeira SAVE £5.50 at £31/70cl (was £36.50, offer ends 8 Dec)
This Welsh whisky has aromas of toffee, rich fruit and raisins and finishing notes of tropical fruit, raisins and vanilla.

3. The Glenlivet Founder's Reserve SAVE £10.39 at £23/70cl (was £33.39, offer ends 8 Dec)
This has all the fruity flavours and smoothness of The Glenlivet house style, brilliantly complemented by the use of first-fill American oak casks.

4. The Macallan Gold £35/70cl
Created to showcase Macallan's natural colour and seasoned sherry casks, this has lots of lemon citrus and orange peel, softened with vanilla, apple and cinnamon.
