Schofe's Shard climb!

19th December 2014

Don't look down! Watch the terrifying moment that Schofe took on The Shard, the tallest building in Western Europe, all in aid of Text Santa.Text Santa.

ITV's Text Santa, a charity appeal that raises funds for six UK charities, recently saw Schofe take to the airways for a whole 24 hours in a once-in-a-lifetime challenge.

But not one to settle, Schofe wanted to up the ante.

After leaving The View from The Shard, he went beyond the public viewing gallery and climbed up the inside of the spire. The top of the spire is over 1,000 feet high, so high in fact that it’s officially in civil aviation airspace!

Under the supervision of rope experts he had to haul himself up to the top, battling the elements, not to mention the dizzying heights of a building that’s the same height as 57 double decker buses, 3 Big Bens or 2 London Eyes! See more pictures from the climb, here.
