It’s back, bigger and better than ever, though it looked for a day or so that the launch of Dancing On Ice 2010 might have just a bit too much ice! Holly and I left the This Morning studios for the big Wednesday dress rehearsal and no sooner had we arrived at the rink, we had to turn around and get back to London in case we got snowed in at Elstree. Check out the video here! Thanks to Andi Peters for standing in. There was also a timely reminder on Friday’s rehearsal that ice is slippery stuff when the 17 year old uni-cyclist who was working through the spectacular opening circus routine, fell over on the ice and knocked out his two front teeth! They were promptly retrieved by a member of the crew and he was raced to the local dentist to be repaired in time for Sunday. I mention he was 17 for a reason because both his Dad and his older brother also knocked their front teeth out at that age… so in their family it’s a rite of passage!
It was so exciting to be back, from the spectacle of that first Torvill and Dean routine, to the sadness of losing Sinitta it was as always as unpredictable as ever. Sinitta phoned Simon Cowell after the show and he told her not to worry, she’d been brilliant and would never be expected to skate on X Factor! Though it was clear from her reaction that she was gutted to be voted out in week one, though her children thought she had won because she got to skate twice!! Did you notice the curse of the pink outfit again?

It’s getting spooky now. Watch out this Sunday to see if any of the guys are wearing green, that’s the unlucky colour for them.
So that’s my Sundays sorted, by the time the series ends it will be spring, and though it’s fantastic to watch Dancing On Ice on the telly, it’s less fun actually doing it on the pavement!!
