Holiday Time…

May 26th, 2009

What did you get up to this Bank Holiday?

Phillip is taking some well deserved time out this week and he kicked off the long weekend with a lovely BBQ in the sunshine.

At Officialphillipschofield.com we are keen to know what you got up to with your extended weekend, did you get some time to soak up the lovely British sunshine, or jump on a plane and take a mini-break?

Or, are you entertaining the children this half-term?  If you have got any funny BBQ stories or anecdotes of your time away from the normal chores that make up the working week then let us know or send in some pictures!

Leave your comments below, or e-mail us your pictures at officialphillipschofield@iviva.com

We’ll keep checking them and post up the best ones at the end of the week!

My brother got married in Vegas to a lovely american lass and I had to look after his new father in law. He is 83, had a couple of heart attcks recently and i was in charge of making sure he didnt die before the wedding (we got to Vegas 3 days before) Ooohh my word…nobody told me he was a rude redneck gambler who loved a whiskey sour & Malbouro ciggie - i spent 3 days(picture it - he hired a mobility scooter) chasing him around at all hours trying to stop him in full gambling, smoking, drinking mode.
Anyway, he lived - I got to wear my posh bridesmaid frock, the make up artist covered my dark circles from lack of sleep - the wedding was gorgeous and brilliant!!

I was away for the half-term week with hub’s, our two young sons and my lovely mum, in north Cornwall :) I was driving separately with my mum as passenger - stress levels up already! - and as we met friends at Castle Drogo on the way down, we ended up driving along single track roads. We were going uphill and suddenly met three cars coming the other way. I panicked, started reversing back down the hill and found myself having difficulty with avoiding going into the hedge…….I’m not used to this kind of driving you see……Anyhow, my mum was not about to take over, so eventually one of the other drivers got in my car and reversed it for the last 50 metres. It didn’t help when they asked if I’d passed my driving test…….Oh dear (Turns bright red!!)
