Giant Danish Pastry!

May 7th, 2009

It’s a very satisfying feeling to spend an intensive few weeks working on shows in the studio and then get to the time where life is a little quieter and they start to get edited and hit the airwaves.

Word from The Cube editing suite is very encouraging; I got a text from the boss yesterday saying that the shows are looking fantastic.  All the special effects are being added and hopefully it won’t be too long before I can show you some of the video footage I shot in the studio whilst we were making the shows (still a bit under wraps at the moment though, as is the transmission date).

A series that is already on air after a really fast turnaround is Mr & Mrs, show one went out last Saturday and got a great reception and fantastic figures, if you watched (or even if you didn’t!) we have some behind the scenes footage that David (who is in charge of our clothes) shot for you coming very soon.  He also made the Danish Pastry outfit which is featured in the clip, and he was, quite rightly, very proud of it.

Watch video now!

The dog however is real and not his handiwork! Show two is on ITV1 at 6.15pm this Saturday, hope you enjoy it.

One other event to put in your Diary is The British Soap Awards.  We record on Saturday and it goes out on May 13th, I’ll try to get some video footage there if I can, or at the very least a Tweet and a Twitpic!

Keep popping back for more and thank you SO much for all your messages.  I may not reply to every one, but I read them all.

Hi Phil, Managed to watch a very short bit of your programme on Saturday and I found it most
entertaining. Unfortunately, I cannot watch on a
Saturday as we normally go out. Is it by any chance repeated at some other time.
Keep smiling
Tanya

Great video of the danish pastry! I saw that on the show and thought it was ace.
And Kathryn - that’s an amazing story! Who better to bring anyone round from a coma?

Dear Phillip,
Every time I see or hear you I laugh!
This is because on 21st Dec 1992 I had a major RTA and was in a coma in the Royal London Hospital for 3 months.
My parents told me that you came on telly and they were sat at my bedside trying to will me back by talking to me. Mum said “who’s that I wonder” I apparently said my first words “Phillip Schofield”.
So Phillip even people in coma’s recognise you!
Stay happy, don’t ever change!
Kathryn X
